Luc "Luckie" Nguyen is a Southern Californian-based Cinematographer, Producer, and Editor. He started in the Bay Area with clients including: Open Line Media(Live Events), New Sense Entertainment (Music Video), Neighborhood Empowerment Network (Community Web Show), Art RockX (Local Artist Showcase), Laurel Fertility Care(Industry Process Video), Coaches Aid (Live Streaming Sports), and Less Than 6 Percent (Real estate).
Luckie has produced and shot numerous narrative and documentary films; he has written and directed his own short film, "Tough," which is about a teen girl fighting to end her affiliation with gang life. This short film has been screened at USF's Humanitarian Film Festival and RAW showcase in San Jose.
During his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Luckie rose through the ranks from infantryman to a supervisory role as 1st Sergeant's Assistant, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production from the Art Institute Of California – San Francisco, 2012.
Recently, Luckie has won his title as best Filmmaker for the city of San Jose through the RAW organization, and also was nominated into the RAWards National Semi-Finals for Filmmaker of the Year, 2013.
